These exemplify what a Federation teacher is. They can be observed by any visitor, in any lesson. These are our 12 Pillars of exceptional teaching.
Subject Leadership
In our small school, subject leadership is a collaborative process. Instead of each teacher single handedly leading 4 or 5 subjects, they lead just a single subject with a good overview of the rest. Supported by external critical friends within the Federation who observe, monitor, evaluate and disseminate CPD, this allows for a much greater depth and pace of development.

Regular release time and subject leader meetings ensure that the Head of School and the teaching team has a good overview of the entire curriculum whilst gaining expert knowledge in the single subject that they lead. More information can be found within the teaching and learning handbook.
